Deuli House has 4 spacious suites and a large top floor apartment. Suites are available to rent on an individual basis or, for large groups or extended family gatherings, the whole house can be rented for private use. The whole house is 8,500 sq.ft (790 sq.m) and comfortably sleeps 14 but has been known to sleep 22, with 44 for dinner!

 Prices vary depending on season, the number of nights you stay, the number of people staying and the number of suites required. There are special rates for children.

Suite Sizes

First Floor Suites: Suite 1 is 700sq.ft / 65 sq.m (2 balconies); Suite 2 is 650 sq.ft / 60 sq.m (1 balcony)

Second Floor Suites: Suite 3 is 710 sq.ft / 66 sq.m (2 balconies); Suite 4 is 650 sq.ft / 60 sq.m (1 balcony)

The entire top floor apartment (not suitable for small children) is a single unit of 1,400 sq.ft / 130 sq.m with two bedrooms, open plan dining / living space, and a large roof-top panoramic gallery which is an excellent venue for sundowners.

A whole house rental can include or exclude this apartment.

Suites may use all the facilities on the ground floor, namely sitting room, dining room, kitchen, terraces and garden.

Rates from 25 April available on request. Suites start at £70 per night and the 2 bedroom Owner's Apartment starts at £175 per night.

Rates are reduced for bookings of 7 nights or more.

 

Additional Guest Costs
There is no charge for children under 8. For children over 8 years old additional in a Suite, it's plus 50% Suite Cost
For additional adults in a Suite, plus 80% of the Suite cost, using one or more balconies, with mosquito nets, as additional 'bedrooms'

Tipping is, of course, entirely optional. If you feel that (and we hope you do!) anyone has done an outstanding job, we suggest a tip of anywhere between 2,000KSH and 5,000KSH (approx £15 to £40)

Inclusions

Full time staff at Deuli House include House Manager, Cook, House Boy and a Night Watchman. Additional staff are hired in when necessary.

Our House Manager has been with us over 20 years and will be your main point of contact for any issues during your stay. Our Cook has had 3 years training in an Italian hotel and will prepare all your meals according to menus of your choice (cost of food and beverages not included). Fisher / Lobster / Crab folk call in daily for orders or our boat captain will fetch them. Near Lamu Town you can order wines and spirits and they will deliver.

The House Boys ensure the house and your rooms are cleaned daily, look after the garden, and serve you at meals.  

Also included are good quality wifi, laundry and beach gear.

Optional Extras

Our own boat and captain (seats 6 comfortably) can take you for excursions, BBQ picnics on sand banks, fishing trips etc. and is charged at £30 per day (plus petrol costs).

Return Airport transfers - £20 per person, including baggage

Payment

If you would like to book, we ask for a 20% deposit to secure your booking. This is non-refundable if you cancel less than 90 days prior to arrival. We ask for the balance of your payment to be made 30 days prior to arrival. All payments are made by bank to bank transfer.
